Since 1995, a dedicated legion of listeners in the Chicago Southland has enjoyed listening to the wild antics of TOMANO & TOUHY.
The duo’s heady brew of comedy and talk has garnered them numerous prestigious Silver Dome awards from the Illinois Broadcasters Association, including Best Local Morning Show (2007 & 2009) Best Local Broadcast Team (2005) and Best Radio Personality (2000.)
A master storyteller, Mike Tomano colors his twisted tales with outlandish impersonations and bizarre characters. Mike paints a picture and the airwaves are his canvas, with the result somewhere between Norman Rockwell and Salvador Dali.
Veteran stand-up comic, Steve Touhy, shares the radio spotlight, with a no-holds-barred approach to hilarity that incorporates sarcasm, one-liners and witty barbs that his years on the radio and club stage have honed to perfection.
Over the years, a wide range of celebrities have been a guest on Mike & Steve's radio show, including Bob Newhart, Samuel L. Jackson, Joan Rivers, Gary Sinise, P.J. O’Rourke, John Entwhistle of The Who, Crispin Glover, Dean Koontz, Ted Nugent, Jeff Daniels, Tim Curry, Patti Smith, Henry Rollins, Art Garfunkel, Tom Smothers, Carrot Top, Andy Dick, Ed McMahon and many more.
Now, returning to the legendary KAT, The Southland’s dynamic duo is poised to present the perfect blend of comedy & music.
Mike Tomano
A native of Chicago’s South Side, Mike honed his craft at Second City Children's Theater, Victory Gardens Theater, Second City E.T.C. and a series of radio gigs to form the impetus of what The Tomano & Touhy Show is today, the radio show people are afraid to miss. He spends most of his free time enjoying life with his family and friends. In addition to the radio show, Mike is a writer and public speaker, comedian, actor, musician and political activist. His passions include archery, hunting, hiking, rafting, bicycling and assorted outdoor adventure. Mike enjoys cooking for loved ones and listening to his vast record collection. Mike is an avid music lover, voracious reader, film fan, spiritual seeker and Virgo.
Steve Touhy
A native of Chicago’s North Side, Steve has performed stand-up comedy on stages across the nation, sharing the bill with such show-biz luminaries as Bobcat Goldthwait, Jimmie Walker, Nick DiPaolo and many more. He has appeared on television’s “Early Edition” and “ER” and in the major motion picture, “Save The Last Dance.” In addition to the radio show, Steve watches television, plays videos games and lies on the couch.
