Benson is the author of the six Uncle Joe’s Record Guides, which serves as a history of rock and roll. He is also interested in the fast pace world of race car driving, having been a winning race car driver of NASCAR, NHRA, and SCCA . Benson has been the voice of The California Speedway since 1997, where he announced, called races and conducted driver interviews. Benson also has an award-winning website, www.unclejoe.com, which features more than 350 pages of on-air activities and personal appearances. Having one of the most recognizable voices of radio, Uncle Joe Benson has made his presence on Southern California radio one to remember.
